I called Handyman Connection because of the reviews on Angie's List. The lady that answered the phone scheduled an appointment for me the following Tuesday. The day before the estimator arrived, I received an email from Handyman Connection, providing not only the name, but also a photograph of the person who would arrive. That person was Riery, who arrived on time, examined my attic and discovered that the attic fan had never been connected nor installed. He told me that, based on his experience, the natural wind flow in my attic was adequate and that I would be wasting money to have someone do all the wiring that would be required. It has been a long time that someone has come to my house and told me NOT to spend money. This is a company that I not only will be using in the future, but will also recommend to anyone looking for Handyman services.
I want to recognize the Handyman Connection for its super-responsive customer service, thorough workmanship, access to excellent craftsmen, and integrity. I recommend them to anyone seeking installation or repair services for the home. And I’m a repeat customer. I have always been satisfied with their professionalism and fair pricing --but the response and the work they did over the holidays really deserves recognition --and attention for others seeking reliable, good service. On December 20, 2013, in the later afternoon --the Friday before Christmas--the ladder to my attic broke. As I was pulling down boxes of decorations. The ladder unhinged from the ceiling, letting the cold air of the attic into the house, and blocking the main hallway between bedrooms and bathrooms. Absolutely unmovable in this state -and dangerous. Awful! This may not sound like a crisis, but on the big holiday weekend, with family, gatherings planned, guests arriving -this ranked right up there w/a broken sink or toilet. I contacted the Handyman Connection right away who had come to repair the ladder almost a year ago. As usual, Duchess, the ever-professional and customer-focused coordinator answered. At first, she was doubtful that I could get help until that next Monday --several days later! When I stressed how difficult and dangerous the break was, she asked for time to make calls --and within 20minutes, she had located an excellent craftsman, Eddie DelGado who came out that evening! Like, within 2H of the break. Eddie worked in 3 stages: first to shore up the door by repairing the damaged side; then, to watch me use the door --a first! At that point, he realized that the way I was closing the door might contribute to the door’s hinge weakening. He demonstrated the proper way and decided to fortify the left side while he was at it... All in all he was there approximately 1.5H to secure, repair, and stabilize the entire operation. And-in the middle of company coming and going- he worked efficiently and w/o a mess. I was thrilled! To this day, the door operates smoothly. As if this wasn’t sufficient, Duchess informed me that there would be no charge --as they guarantee their work for 1 year--and my door fell within the warranty. So, not only was I super-delighted with Handyman Connection’s responsiveness, quality service, great craftsman in Eddie--but also they serve with overall integrity too! They already had me at “Eddie will be right over!” --but now, they’ve got a customer and booster for life! You will not be disappointed.
